Wits Publishing privacy policy

Effective October 15, 2026. Operator: Iris Tracker LLC. Contact: brandon@iristracker.app.

Scope

This policy covers Wits Publishing, the company's owner-operated YouTube publishing tool and this public information site. It does not describe the consumer Wits app, customer accounts, subscriptions or unrelated Iris products.

Google and YouTube data

With the account owner's authorization, the tool uses YouTube upload access to submit videos, titles, descriptions, audience declarations and visibility settings. It uses read-only access to check the channel identifier and video metadata, processing state and publication result. The implementation accepts only the dedicated Wits channel.

The tool uses these data to publish the operator's content, confirm the destination and result, recover interrupted work and avoid duplicate uploads. It is not offered as a service for visitors to connect their channels.

Storage and access

The publisher operates on the company's Mac Mini. Long-lived OAuth credentials are stored in its macOS login Keychain. Temporary authorization data and access tokens are used in process memory. Administrative credential downloads are access-controlled on the operator's computer.

Video assets, upload-session references, release records and status metadata are stored in private publisher directories and a local database. Database backups and bounded operational logs support recovery. The operator controls access to these computers and files. An unlocked Keychain is required; unavailable credentials stop work rather than switch accounts.

Sharing and limited use

The tool sends authorized media, metadata and API requests to Google and YouTube to perform publication and verification. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising profiles or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

We follow the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements. YouTube use is also subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

Retention, revocation and deletion

Credentials are retained while needed for the authorized publisher. Media and release records are retained for publication, duplicate prevention and recovery. Revoking a Google connection does not automatically erase local media, ledger records or backups.

The account owner can revoke access in Google account connections. To request removal of publisher credentials and records, contact brandon@iristracker.app. The operator must also remove relevant retained backups when fulfilling a deletion request. Revocation or deletion can prevent the automation from continuing. Removing local publisher data does not remove videos already uploaded to YouTube; those are managed separately in YouTube.

This website

This static information site is hosted by Cloudflare. It has no sign-in form, upload form, advertising pixels, application analytics script or application-level visitor database. Cloudflare processes normal request and connection metadata as the hosting provider under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Google and other linked services apply their own policies when you visit them.

Changes and contact

Material changes to this tool's data handling will be reflected here. Questions and deletion requests can be sent to brandon@iristracker.app.
